Community Art Making and Relationship Fitness

Relationship Fitness Group at St. Edwards University

Tonight I did some community art making with the Relationship Fitness group. This is a cozy and kind organization focusing on strengthening their current and future relationships. We did some art making around our past and present challenges. Thank you Kara for the invitation. I enjoyed it and hope your group did too.

Discovery: The Art of Art Therapy

Posted on: January 10th, 2012

Hi Friends,
Be sure to join us for “Discovery: The Art of Art Therapy.”
Pictured below is my contribution to the show, “Yes, No, Maybe”, a mixed media piece on birch panel. BDJ Craftworks (AKA my awesome brother, Brian) gilded it with a fabulous walnut frame post photo. Oh the advantages of a woodworking sibling. Thanks Brother!

All of the works, now hanging at The Hideout Coffee House, at 617 Congress, are from Art Therapists. The show is sponsored by the infamous South Texas Art Therapy Association. Please find time to come to the opening celebration on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. It should be fun and one way to support art and creativity in your community.
Be Well,
Laura
